MODE- serious, persuasive

MEDIA- informational/persuasive internet blog

AUDIENCE- students (teenagers), athletes, parents, and anybody that likes sports

PURPOSE- to educate/ inform and persuade parents to let their kids to play sports.

SITUATION- be interested in sports, look up opinions and facts about sports.

What did you research and why?
I was not sure if i wanted to do football because my parents don’t like it. They claimed that football was way to risky and dangerous. So I searched up the pros and cons of football to back up my argument against them. They were right by saying that football was dangerous, but at some point I decided to make it broad and instead of football, generalize it into sports. Then I was able to prove to them that no matter what sports, we are always going to have to take some risks in life, plus I showed them how the benefits of sports far outweigh the negative. Also I explained to them how people can get injured by doing any sort of active movement/exercise. I convinced them that sports are much safer now than they were back in the days by providing to them the new adjustments the sport’s programs are making such as: strict rules to prevent injuries, hiring expert trainer, and building new advanced technological equipments.

What did you create and why?
I created a blog because I wanted to get my opinion out there. I wanted to persuade parents, and students that sport is beneficial and they should enjoy it freely. Also I made a blog about it, so that other students can use my claims and evidences strategy to convince their parents/guardians that sports are good and they should let them participate in them.
