GENIUS HOUR

MODE- Informational Research
MEDIA- Website
AUDIENCE- Mrs. Murchie, Ms. Branigan, and anyone who has an interest in learning about animal cruelty. Anyone who wants to have more information on animal testing.
PURPOSE- To inform others about the things I have learned about testing on animals. I want people to know what they can do to help stop testing on animals, which companies to support, the statistics behind testing on animals, and the regulations that come with it.
SITUATION- I personally try to use cruelty free items. I also think that even though animals can't speak up for themselves, they should't have to suffer. I have been around different types of animals all my life, so I have a personal connection to them.

What did you research and why?
I researched testing on animals in the cosmetic industry. I decided to research this because it had been showing up on my social medias. Social media is where I get a lot of my news so when I saw things about different companies that were starting to switch to cruelty free. I was interested in knowing the facts about how many companies still test on animals and why.

What did you create and why?
I created a website because when I was researching all of the different topics that go along with testing on animals, I realized that there wasn't a page that had all of the information in one place. The websites that I saw really only answered one part or question. So i decided to make a website that could have a lot of the information all on the same site.
