GENIUS HOUR
MODE- I wrote my blog in both first and second person informative. I include information as well as my own stories and experiences and opinions.
MEDIA- I published my information/project on a blog format. I used this because I included information, as well as personal stories, experiences, and opinions.
AUDIENCE- My intended audience is mostly distance runners, or really anyone that runs because the information could help any type of runner, whether it be for competition, or just for fun.
PURPOSE- The purpose of my blog is to inform my readers on ways they can improve their running. It is one place that includes information on a wide range of topics that could help runners improve their running/times.
SITUATION- I wanted to create one location that contained all of the information that I researched regarding ways to help my running, or things that I experience while running. My blog contains a personal running experience, an article on why chocolate milk is a good recovery drink, an article about running in colder temperatures, as well as an article that discusses patellar tendonitis, an injury that I have and other runners and athletes can have.
What did you research and why?
I researched questions I had about my running or things that could affect or help my running. All of my searches/genius hours were centered around running and my training or competition seasons.
What did you create and why?
I created a blog instead of a website because I was then able to put in my own stories and experiences and opinions in the articles. I wanted to create one place where all of the information I researched could be located and found for both myself and others.
